The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists reports a shortage of injectable ceftazidime. This drug shortage is important to you if you have a serious infection with a bacteria that is killed by ceftazidime. Pfizer has discontinued this drug as of this month, so this shortage is almost certainly a reflection of that fact.
